Celebrating VE Day & Studio Re-Opening!

Hello everyone, how are you?

During this lock down period I have found myself revisiting some images that I have taken over the last year or so. Having been unable to go out and take new photos it has been really enjoyable going through my archives and re-edit some favourite ones.

As a kind of hobby in my photography I really enjoy photographing the 1940s re-enactors. I have followed particular groups for around 4 years now and have been able to get some fabulous images. Some of which I will share with you now.

During lockdown, on the 8th of May, we celebrated VE Day. Amazing that it’s 75 years since the formal acceptance by the Allies Of WW2 of Nazi Germany’s unconditional surrender of its armed forces, marking the end of World War 2.
Every re-enactor that I have photographed has paid particular attention to their costume to ensure its authentic. From the makeup to the shoes. The ladies spend hours on their hair and makeup, ensuring that it’s perfectly in keeping with the era.

I have selected a few photographs for you here from different shoots I’ve done in the last couple of years. These are some of my favourite black and whites.

It was announced today that from June 15th, non essential work places will be opening, which includes my studio. I will look forward to welcoming you for family photos or single shoot portraits. All COVID-19 guidelines will be adhered to, and the studio will be sanitised in between each client visit. It is very important to me that we are all taken care of.

I am also available for outdoor family shoots, vintage shoots and styled portraits.

I hope you are all well and looking forward to getting back to as normal as possible.

Best wishes and look forward to hearing from you soon.
